In psychotherapy there is always a disorder with disease value. This is a difference to counseling (see below). Psychotherapy patients suffer from psychologically disturbed behavior (= thoughts/feelings/actions/physical reactions/social interactions) or are psychosomatically ill. The psychotherapeutic treatment follows a diagnosis. This is independent of the type of financing (via statutory, private or accident health insurance, medical care, self-payment, etc.)

Psychotherapist Chamber (see complete description filled out below): The standard of psychotherapeutic treatment is in personal contact. Exclusive remote treatment is not possible in psychotherapy. However, there may be individual cases where psychotherapy can also be conducted via video. Diagnosis and indication must be made in personal contact. Before treatment parts can be carried out via video, the diagnosis must always have been made in direct personal contact. Information and consent to treatment also generally require direct contact between the psychotherapist and the patient. If there is an indication for psychotherapeutic treatment, the question may arise in individual cases whether parts of the planned treatment or even the entire treatment can or should be carried out via video. Basically, video treatment is particularly suitable for patients for whom psychotherapeutic treatment in direct contact is associated with considerable barriers, for example due to a serious physical illness or to ensure treatment continuity during professional absence from home.

Counseling & coaching are not psychotherapy and therefore they can be conducted completely online as video conferences. They do NOT require physical presence in the practices.

With the help of counseling & coaching, customers or clients do NOT want to overcome an existing mental or psychosomatic disorder with disease value.

The customers want to achieve professional or personal goals or meet challenges with professional support from a specialist psychologist and coach. Health coaching can prevent the development of illness.
